BidMate is built with privacy as a structural choice, not an afterthought. We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Service and improve it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are.
1. Information we collect
BidMate does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information directly. We do collect the following minimal data automatically:
- Anonymous user identifier. RevenueCat (our subscription provider) generates a random identifier to associate purchases with your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or other personal information.
- Aggregate analytics. Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics — which screens are opened, how often the calculator is used, which auction houses are most viewed — to help us prioritize improvements. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
- Crash reports. Firebase Crashlytics captures stack traces and device metadata when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs. No content from your bids or calculations is captured.
- Locale preferences. Your selected language, theme, and default currency are stored locally on your device via standard OS preferences (UserDefaults / SharedPreferences). They are not uploaded to our servers.
2. Information we do not collect
BidMate does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or any other personally identifying information. We do not log the actual amounts you type into the calculator, the auction lots you view, or your bidding outcomes.
3. How we use the information
The minimal data we do collect is used solely to operate and improve the Service: to validate your subscription status, to identify usage patterns that help us prioritize features, and to fix crashes. We do not use any of this information for advertising, profiling, or third-party marketing.
4. Third-party services
BidMate uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing their handling of any data transferred to them:
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting (Google).
- Firebase Remote Config — auction-house rate updates without app updates.
- An exchange-rate provider — live currency conversion rates. We send only currency-pair codes (e.g., USD→HKD); no user-identifying information is transmitted.
- Apple App Store & Google Play — billing and distribution.
5. Data retention
Aggregate analytics are retained for 14 months and then deleted in accordance with Firebase's default retention policy. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Subscription identifiers are retained as long as the subscription is active plus a grace period for refund or restoration claims.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have rights under GDPR (European Union), the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, or comparable legislation. These typically include the right to access, correct, or delete personal information; to object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@tiga.dev. Because we collect so little data, most requests can be resolved by deleting and reinstalling the app, which clears the local preferences and dissociates the anonymous RevenueCat identifier from your device.
7. Children's privacy
BidMate is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a revised “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
